Ashley Dow Romano is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner currently serving as the Clinical Coordinator for Inpatient Psychiatric Services at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to her Master of Science in Nursing from Regis College and she also obtains two bachelor's degrees in Nursing and Movement Science. 

Ashley is involved in planning and overseeing clinical operations, developing policies to enhance patient care quality, and leading staff education initiatives at Boston Children's Hospital. Her experience as a Lead Charge Nurse on the Behavioral Response Team honed her skills in crisis intervention and holistic approaches to psychiatric interventions particularly for patients with complex behavioral health needs.

Ashley is an active member of several committees focused on safety and professional governance, and she regularly participates in leadership conferences to further her expertise.

Ashley’s passion for mental health nursing is reflected in her continuous pursuit of knowledge and improvement, underscored by awards such as the Boston Children’s Hospital Nurses Week Spotlight and the Anne Jenks Micheli Professional Development Grant. She is dedicated to advancing care standards and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Ashley is available for Initial Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations and Medication Management for Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Substance Use and Addiction disorders as well as other specialties. She is available to work with clients ages 13 and over and offers in person and tele-health visits.
